Terms of use for the Creatisimo forum

These terms govern your use of Creatisimo at creatisimo.net. By reading the forum, creating an account or posting, you agree to them. They are written in plain language, and we have tried to keep them short. If you do not agree, please do not use the forum.

Using the forum

You can read Creatisimo without an account. To post, you need to create one with a working email address. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for what is posted under your account. Please give accurate information when you sign up, and tell us at hello@creatisimo.net if you think someone else has access to your account.

You must follow the community guidelines. We may edit, move, lock or remove posts, and warn, suspend or close accounts, when the guidelines or these terms are broken or when we think it necessary to protect the forum or its members. We usually explain why, but we are not required to.

Your posts and the licence you give us

You keep ownership of what you post. We do not claim to own your threads, replies or images.

By posting, you give Creatisimo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute your posts on and in connection with the forum. This includes showing them to visitors, indexing them for search, and making technical copies such as backups and thumbnails. We need this licence so the forum can function. It does not let us sell your work, and it does not stop you from using your own work elsewhere.

You confirm that you have the right to post what you post. That means it is your own work, or you have permission or a licence to share it, and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights. If you upload an image, you are responsible for having the right to share it.

If you delete a post, we will stop showing it, but copies may remain for a limited time in backups, and quotes of your post in other members' replies may remain. Our privacy policy explains how to ask for deletion.

Staff answers

Answers written by the editors carry a Staff label. They are written in good faith, with sources, and they are checked when published, but they can be wrong or go out of date. Tools, licences and standards change, and an answer reflects what was known on the date shown. Please check the source linked in an answer before relying on it for anything important.

Nothing on Creatisimo is professional, legal, financial or licensing advice. That includes staff answers and member replies. Questions about copyright in AI images, the terms of an AI tool, client contracts or disclosure rules depend on your country, your contract and your facts. Use the forum to learn and to ask what others have experienced, and speak to a qualified professional before you make a decision that matters.

Likewise, no answer here can prove that a particular image is or is not AI generated. Detection results, metadata and visual impressions are signals, not proof. Please do not act against another person, such as accusing them of a breach or removing their work, based only on a forum thread.

We respect the rights of creators. If you believe a post on Creatisimo uses your work without permission, email hello@creatisimo.net with a subject line starting "Copyright notice". Include the link to the post, a description of the work you own and where the original appears, your name and contact details, and a statement that you did not give permission and that your notice is accurate.

We review notices promptly and may remove the material while we look into it. We may tell the member who posted it that we received a notice, and they may reply with an explanation. Where a member repeatedly posts material they have no right to share, we close their account.

Please do not file a notice you know to be false. A false notice can have legal consequences for the person who sends it.

Posts may link to other websites, tools and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their terms or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement, and a mention of a tool in a thread is not a recommendation unless a staff answer says so.

What we do not promise

The forum is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be available at all times, free of errors, or that any answer will suit your situation. To the extent the law allows, Creatisimo and its editors are not liable for losses arising from your use of the forum or from relying on what you read there. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited.

Governing terms

These terms are the whole agreement between you and Creatisimo about the forum. If a part of them is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. The laws that apply to a dispute are the laws of the place where you live, to the extent local consumer law requires it, and otherwise the laws that apply to the forum's operator. Before taking any formal step, please write to hello@creatisimo.net so we can try to put it right.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. For anything about these terms, email hello@creatisimo.net.
