so quillbot added an AI humanizer feature a while back and i’ve been using it because i was already paying for quillbot premium. but i genuinely can’t tell if it’s doing anything useful or if it’s just a checkbox feature they added to compete
is QuillBot AI humanizer actually a real humanizer or is it just paraphrasing with extra steps? because from what i’ve tested it mostly just swaps synonyms and reorders sentences. which is what the regular paraphraser does. so paying extra for that specific feature feels pointless.
compared to dedicated AI humanizers the quillbot one feels like an afterthought. i ran the same paragraph through quillbot humanizer, a dedicated humanizer tool, and a couple others. quillbot output still got flagged at like 74% on GPTZero. the others were significantly lower.
